Terms of Service

Effective date · 03 May 2026

1. Who this applies to

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dooit mobile
application (the "App") and any related services (collectively, the
"Service") operated by Roy Digital ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an
account, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be
bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for individuals preparing for the UPSC Civil
Services Examination or related Indian competitive examinations. By
using the Service you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you confirm

that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and consents
to your use of the Service.

  • The information you provide during onboarding (name, email, target

year, preparation stage) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your

account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your
account.

  • You may not share, sell, transfer, or sub-license your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe it

has been compromised, used in violation of these Terms, or used to
facilitate any of the prohibited activities listed in Section 5.

4. Limited license to Dooit content

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited,
revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to
access and use the App and its content (AI-generated answers, MCQ sets,
study notes, current affairs articles, study plans — collectively
"Dooit Content") solely for your personal, non-commercial preparation
for the UPSC examination.

You acknowledge that Dooit Content (including content generated for you
in response to your queries) is owned by us or our licensors and is
protected by Indian and international copyright, database rights, and
other intellectual property laws.

5. Prohibited uses

You agree NOT to do any of the following, directly or via any tool,
script, agent, third-party service, or proxy account:

(a) Scraping / automated access. Use any automated means (scripts,
bots, crawlers, headless browsers, RPA tools, or AI agents acting
as users) to access the Service or download Dooit Content in bulk.

(b) Reverse engineering. Attempt to decompile, disassemble, or
otherwise reverse-engineer the App, its API endpoints, or the
embedded data formats. The Service implements technical protection
measures within the meaning of Section 65A of the Copyright Act
1957 — circumventing them is a separate offence.

(c) Redistribution. Reproduce, distribute, publish, display,
broadcast, sell, license, or sub-license any Dooit Content to any
third party, whether free of charge or for consideration. This
includes posting answers, MCQs, or study notes on Telegram channels,
YouTube, WhatsApp groups, websites, blogs, other apps, or print.

(d) Misrepresentation. Pass off Dooit Content as your own work,
remove watermarks or attribution, or alter content in a way that
would mislead others about its source.

(e) Account abuse. Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate
limits, share one account across multiple users, or use disposable
/ virtual phone numbers to create accounts at scale.

(f) Security testing without authorization. Probe, scan, or test
the vulnerability of the Service. Responsible disclosure of any
security issue you encounter is welcome via the contact in Section 13.

6. Watermarking and traceability

You acknowledge that Dooit Content served to you may contain invisible
identifying information (a "watermark") tying it to your account. This
watermark is included for the legitimate purpose of detecting and
deterring violations of Section 5. We may use watermarks recovered from
publicly leaked or redistributed content to identify the source account
and take action under Section 7.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we
reasonably believe you have:

  • violated any provision of these Terms (especially Section 5),
  • engaged in conduct that may harm other users, our service, or third

parties,

  • presented a credit-card chargeback or payment dispute we believe to

be fraudulent.

If we terminate your account for any of the reasons above, you may
forfeit access to any unused portion of paid services, and we may
retain your data for the period required to investigate the violation
or comply with legal obligations.

You may close your account at any time from the in-app settings; once
closed we will retain your data only as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Subscriptions and payments (when applicable)

The Service is currently offered free of charge. When paid subscription
tiers are introduced:

  • prices, billing cycles, and inclusions will be disclosed clearly at

the point of purchase;

  • payments will be processed by a regulated Indian payment processor

(e.g., Razorpay), subject to that processor's own terms;

  • refunds will be handled per a separate refund policy published in-app

before any charge is taken.

9. AI-generated content disclaimer

Dooit uses third-party large language models to generate answers, study
plans, and explanations. We curate and engineer the prompts, but we do
NOT guarantee the factual accuracy, completeness, or currency of any
AI-generated output.

You should:

  • treat AI answers as a study aid, not as a primary authoritative

source,

  • always cross-check critical facts (article numbers, dates, statistics,

case names) against standard textbooks and official government sources,

  • not rely on AI output for high-stakes decisions outside the context of

exam preparation.

We may, but are not obligated to, route certain queries to a moderation
filter that returns a neutral disclaimer instead of an AI-generated
answer (see the in-app behavior for politically or communally
inflammatory queries). This is for the safety of all users and the
integrity of the Service.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty

of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all implied warranties
of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and
non-infringement.

  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free,

or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

  • Our total liability to you in connection with the Service for any

claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the
greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the
claim, or (ii) ₹1,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be
unlawful (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by
gross negligence, or for fraud).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roy Digital, its founders,
employees, and affiliates from any third-party claim arising out of
(a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law, or
(c) any content you post that infringes a third party's rights.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding its
conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have
exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection
with these Terms or the Service, subject to applicable consumer-court
provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 2019.

For consumer-grade disputes you may also approach the National Consumer
Helpline (1915) or the e-Daakhil portal.

13. Contact

For any question, complaint, or formal notice under these Terms, write
to:

Roy Digital
Email: roy@roydigital.in

We will acknowledge receipt within 7 working days and substantively
respond within 30 working days.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

  • post the updated Terms in the in-app Settings → Legal section,
  • update the "Effective date" at the top, and
  • if the changes are material, notify you via the App or email.

Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect
constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
